The premium Urbane smartwatch from LG has got an upgrade, as the company has just announced the LG Watch Urbane 2nd edition, with some notable upgrade to specs, and one of the features that is the first for any Android Wear smartwatches.
Coming with the stainless steel body, the LG Watch Urbane 2nd edition has a durable hypoallergenic TPSiV elastomer band. It comes with a 1.38-inch P-OLED display, with a resolution of 480 x 480 to give a pixel density of 348 PPI. The company touts this as the “highest resolution display of any smartwatch” in the market. It is touted as the first cellular Android wear smartwatch with an option to connect via 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, this gives the user an option to use the LG watch Urbane with any Android smartphone or on its own. It is capable of working with Android and iOS with the cellular features varying depending on the platform.
The LG Watch Urbane has a diameter of 44.5mm and 14.2mm in thickness giving the design resembling a classic timepiece with its hairline-etched stainless steel body, paired with the bands at offer. It is available in two variants having a special sports edition.

The LG Watch Urbane runs on 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Processor which is paired with 768MB of LPDDR3 RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage. It comes with sensors like Accelerometer, Gyro, Compass, Barometer and GPS. The connectivity features are 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. The smartwatch comes with Dust and Water Resistance having IP67 rating.
The LG Watch Urbane comes in four colors of Space Black, Opal Blue, Luxe White and Signature Brown. This device will be available fist in USA and Korea, followed by Europe, CIS, Asia and Middle East. The pricing and availability details will be revealed based on its launch in respective regions.
