Alcatel has revealed their durable smart watch called the Go WATCH, which resemble childish colored variants of the G-Shock range of watches. With many other smart-watches launched at the IFA 2015 like Motorola Moto 360 2nd Gen and Moto 360 Sport and Sony Wena Wrist Smartwatch, Samsung Gear S2 and the Premium LG Watch Urbane Luxe which have the looks and functionality Alcatel GO Watch stands apart from the rest in terms of its strange looks.
If you ignore the looks, the Alcatel Go Watch is compatible with iOS and Android OS and comes with all the features needed in a smart-watch like notifications for calls, text messages, emails, weather etc. It also comes equipped with a heart rate monitor and Alcatel has mentioned a feature called “emotion pulse measurement” which is explained in the press release in detail.
The Go Watch brings a unique experience and lets users hack their emotions. How? Press the Go button to trigger an emotionpulse measurement. An emotional graphic will be created based on the input from the gyroscope, heart rate sensor and accelerometer. Select a theme that matches your mood the best to create your personalized emotion pulse. You can instantly share your unique emotion pulse on social networks or even set it as the wallpaper of your Go Watch
With the help of three sensors – heart rate monitor, gyroscope and accelerometer the Go Watch tried to guess your emotions and creates a custom theme. Thanks to the size of the Watch the company was able to fit in a full-size USB port into the side of the watch which surely makes charging it pretty easy. The Go Watch is Waterproof with IP67 rating, shockproof and dust proof. The Go Watch comes in four colors of White, blue, orange and a pinkish red color, all of which resemble your kids toy watch in terms of design and color combinations. The design and feel is surely not at all appealing to the eye but the build seems to be very durable, the pricing and the availability of the Go Watch is not yet announced by Alcatel.
