It is very confusing, and we are sure how frustrated you are about it right now after Reliance Jio came up with this new offer. Earlier, it was the Summer Surprise offer from Jio that spread around with the validity of four months for a single recharge of Rs. 303 or higher for a Prime Member, but then, Jio ultimately stopped the offer before the last day arrived.
Now, it is a new offer from Jio and it is called the Dhan Dhana Dhan offer from Jio. First things first, the offer is not the same as the Summer Surprise offer. Let’s get it straight.
What did the Summer Surprise Offer give?
Three months of the complimentary offer before the paid plan starts. For example, if you recharged with Rs. 303 as a Prime member, from April 15th to July 15th is when you would get the free data of 1GB per day. And for the amount that you paid, you will see the Rs. 303 plan activated from July 15th for the next 28 days.
What does the Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer give?
Three months (84 days in actual) of 1GB per data on Rs. 309 recharge for a Jio Prime member. It is not for four months unlike how it was for the Summer Surprise offer.
Now, let’s talk about the dates. There is a lot of confusion around these offers, so let’s answer some questions.
If I recharged with Rs. 303 now, what will I get? It will just be a normal recharge where you get 1GB data per day for 28 days. If you want the new benefit for 84 days (1GB per day), then you should be recharging with Rs. 309 and you will need to have the Prime membership for the benefit.
I didn’t do the Rs. 99 recharge for Prime membership, what should I do? You can either do the recharge now to enroll or to directly take advantage of the plan, do the recharge of Rs. 309 + 99 = Rs. 408 recharge for the 1GB plan for 84 days, or Rs. 508 (Rs. 509 + 99) for 2GB per day for 84 days.
I had recharged with Rs. 303 on Prime to get the Summer Surprise offer before 7th April itself but I still don’t see it active on MyJio app. It says that I am on Happy New Year offer. Did anything go wrong?
The thing is that it shows the same for almost everyone. Only on April 15th you will see the account details updated and you might see your number active with the Summer Surprise offer only on April 15th. Also, it might be the same case with the new Dhan Dhana Dhan offer so you will have to wait till 15th April for the MyJio app to reflect the correct details.
