Samsung has launched their latest Tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, today. The Tab S4 comes as a successor to the Galaxy Tab S3 that was launched last year at the MWC 2017. The new Tab sheds the fingerprint scanner as well as the home button for a thinner bezelled device.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S4
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a 10.5-inch WQXGA Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. The display has a weird 16:10 aspect ratio and supports input through S Pen. Powering the tab is a Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 4 GB RAM and either 64 GB or 256 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 400 GB via a microSD card. The Tab S4 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Well if you are one of those people who like to take photos with their tablets, then the S4 has got you covered with a 13 MP rear camera along with an LED flash. To the front, it comes with a 5 MP camera for selfies.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 packs in a 7300 mAh battery that supports fast charging. The Tab S4 has support for 802.11ac Dual-band Wi-Fi with MIMO and Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, GLONASS, USB 3.1 Type-C port for charging. There’s also pogo pins using which the tab can connect to the Book Cover Keyboard.
Samsung has brought their Dex functionality to the Tab S4, that was first introduced in the Galaxy S8, wherein users can connect their S8 or S9-series smartphone to the dex dock, to use their smartphone in desktop mode. The Tab S4 uses the Book Cover Keyboard to switch from tablet mode to desktop mode. Users can extend the Samsung Dex to an external monitor through an HDMI to USB Type C adapter, which when connected turn the tablet into a trackpad or even a sketch pad.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes with quad stereo speakers, which are tuned by AKG. As Samsung decided to ditch the home button and the fingerprint sensor, the phone comes with an Iris Scanner, for added security.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes in Black and White colors. The pricing of the Tab S4 starts from USD 649 for 64 GB Wi-Fi only variant, while the 256 GB Wi-Fi only variant is priced at USD 749.
