The iBall Slide tablet series adds up a new Android tablet to the lineup, with the iBall Slide Wings getting launched having an 8-inch display. The Slide Wings is said to handle multitasking with ease and there is a Dual SIM slot for staying connected all the time.
The 8-inch full-capacitive IPS HD multi-touch display has a 1280 x 800 screen resolution. The display is supported by Miravision technology for a good sharpness for readability and comfortable viewing even in intense conditions. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop, the tablet device is powered by a Cortex A7 Quad Core Processor that clocks at 1.3 GHz, and there is 2GB RAM support for multitasking.
As for the storage, the iBall Slide Wings comes with 16GB inbuilt storage and a MicroSD card slot allows further expansion of the storage by 32GB. There are two cameras offered on the tablet, an 8-megapixel rear one and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The rear camera is supported by a LED flash.
On the software front, the Android Lollipop OS has a lot of pre-installed apps including Facebook, Hungama, Sanjeev Kapoor Recipes, TOI, Truecaller, WhatsApp & Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as GameLoft games like Asphalt Nitro, Danger Dash, Modern Combat 4 Zero Hour and Spider-Ultimate Power. There are also in-built multi-languages keyboard with read and write compatibility having 21 Regional languages. There are system languages having 9 Indian regional language support.
There is a Dual SIM slot, so you can have two 3G SIM cards inserted for connectivity. The other options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG function, USB tethering/Bluetooth tethering, GPS and A-GPS.
The tablet also has a 4300 mAh battery that is said to offer up to 22 hours of talk time on 2G and up to 14 hours on 3G, and the software is provided with Scheduled Power ON/Off feature that would help save battery at nights when the tablet is not in use.
The iBall Slide Wings is priced at Rs. 7999 and is available at the retail stores.
