Alcatel has launched its popular A310″ tablet in its A series today in India. The new tablet comes with minor upgrades and will go on sale in the 1st week of May.
The A310 sports a 10.1 inch HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The tablet is powered by an unknown quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.1 GHz. It comes with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The tablet runs on the ancient Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
The A310 tablet from Alcatel has an 8 MP rear camera and 5 MP front-facing camera which can be used to take selfies and answer video calls.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, Alcatel India remarked,
“With the success of the launch of A310 in the Indian market. We have come up with all new specification for the consumers to experience them never like before entertainment on this 10” HD tablet.”
Mr. Bipul Kumar, Category Head, Flipkart added,
” A310 tablet had a tremendous sale on Flipkart last year. We have had fruitful the association with Alcatel in the past, with their innovative products and our wide reach making it an ideal partnership. I believe the new A310 is a fantastic offering for our consumers.”
The A310 packs in 4600 mAh battery, which the company claims to last up 7 hours of usage. The tablet features an ergonomic design and a slim 3D texturized back cover. The A310″ will be available in India from 1st week of May. It will be sold on Flipkart at Rs. 9,999.
The original A310 had a maximum 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage and is priced at Rs. 8,999 on Flipkart. The original version is available in two variants one with 4G VoLTE has a Mediatek MTK8735B quad-core chipset and the lower specced Wi-Fi only variant has MT8127 quad-core chipset.
