Microsoft was all set to release their flagship devices in the smartphone category, the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL in an event in October. Before the official launch or update from Microsoft, the official press renders of the devices were revealed by, Evan Blass from his @evleaks twitter account, who is one of the most reliable sources for leaking pre-release information about upcoming gadgets.
From the official press renders, we can see that both the devices are codenamed, with the Lumia 950 codenamed as Talkman and the Lumia 950 XL as Cityman. Even images of both the devices were leaked. the Talkman is seen in black color. The Lumia 950 comes with a windows logo on the back panel below the camera, the camera slightly protrudes from the back of the device.
Coming to the specifications of the Talkman aka Lumia 950, it sports a 5.2-inch WQHD OLED display with resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. It is powered by a 64-bit Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and supported by 3GB of RAM. The Lumia 950 comes with 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory.
The Lumia 950 comes with 20MP PureView rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP wide-angle front-facing camera. The device is powered by a 3000mAh battery which is removable and comes with Qi wireless charging with flip cover. The device sports a USB type-C port for charging and data transfer. From the images which were released, we can see that the camera stands out of the back panel and the windows logo beneath it is more squarish compared to the earlier logo.
The right side of the device sports the Volume rockers, power button and the camera button, the front side with thick bezels which surely do not give the device premium look from the images at least. There is an Iris scanner (infrared) for Windows Hello. The pricing and availability of the Lumia 950 which was earlier rumored to be in October, but the device is expected to be revealed in the IFA event in Berlin. Hoping that this is not the real images, we have to wait for the official update from Microsoft about Lumia 950 launch and other details.
