Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge today at MWC 2015. Check below for the specs and best features of the phones. The Galaxy S6 and its Edge version are no different in specifications, except for the change that the latter has a dual edge screen on the sides. That is also not to an extent the Note Edge had.
For the first time, Samsung has a full metal design with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on the front and back of the phone. And, there is no removable back cover now as we see a unibody design, and a SIM card slot on the side of the phone. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge don’t even have a MicroSD card slot now, as the storage options are 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internally, similar to the options given by Apple for the iPhones.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, with 2560 x 1600 pixels screen resolution. Both the devices have a Exynos 7420 octa-core 64-bit processor and 3GB RAM. The camera on the back of the phone is 16-megapixel, and on the front is a 5-megapixel one.
To keep the phones slim, Samsung could include no more than a 2550 mAh battery for the Galaxy S6 and a 2600 mAh battery for the S6 Edge. But according to them, the 14nm processor will take lesser load and will save a lot of battery on the phone.
