Sony is working on improved Stamina mode with Android Marshmallow update on Xperia Z5.
That is it. The Xperia Z1, Xperia Z and Z Tablet are not in the list, so whatever the version they are running, would be the final one. At least there is some clarity from the company, and we know that the fourteen devices will be receiving the Marshmallow update, though the information about the time is not given.
HTC’s exec. mentioned that sending monthly security updates is not that easy, since carrier approval is a big hassle. With the Marshmallow update, it would be the same hurdle and Sony mentions “Software rollouts are a phased process – timing and availability will vary by market and/or operator. Most models supported but some operator/market exceptions will apply.”
