OnePlus X has got the CyanogenMod 13 Nightly update based on Android 6.0.1 officially and this update has started even before the Oxygen OS 3.0 has been rolled out for the OnePlus X. The CyanogenMod 13 nightly update has been under testing from quite some time. We can expect the Oxygen OS 3.0 to be delivered to the OnePlus X shortly as the OnePlus 2 received the OxygenOS 3.0 Beta recently.
Even the OnePlus One has received the Cyanogen OS 13 update based on Android 6.0.1 this month. The build is dated 23rd April and it comes with Android security patch for April.
Before you jump in to get the Android Marshmallow experience remember that this is not an official update by OnePlus but by CuyanogenMod alone, you will not be getting any official support from OnePlus with this build. With the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update users get App Permissions, Web Experience, App links and Power & Charging tweaks.
The update brings the popular Doze battery saving feature to the OnePlus X which lets you save battery life by stopping background activity when the phone is in standby, it uses motion detection to cut off detect activity. the OnePlus X comes with a 5-inch HD display powered by 2.3GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with Adreno 330 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage expandable using microSD card. The file size for the update is 301.37 MB and you need to Flash your device to install the latest CyanogenMod 13 update on your OnePlus X.
