OnePlus 3 to get Android Nougat Beta Community Build this month

OnePlus is said to be coming up with the big software update’s first Beta version this month. The OnePlus 3 that is running Android Marshmallow based Oxygen OS ROM, is reportedly going to get the community beta build for the Android 7.0 Nougat Update.

After this, the public release of the Android Nougat update will be sent towards the end of the year. The company is known to not offer just a good hardware for the price but also a neat software experience with timely updates.

The company’s Head of Software Brian Yoon has reportedly confirmed that older devices like OnePlus 2 will also be provided with the Nougat update. There is no time shared for the update release to the devices.

The OnePlus 3 was released with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The phone has received rave reviews and boasts to have the best ratings for any smartphone till date on Amazon India. It offers a good value for money and this time, the OxygenOS offered has much lesser bugs than the one that was based on Android Lollipop last year.

The recent Reddit AMA with the company’s spokespersons and co-founder Carl Pei showed that the company is actively working to bring out updates on timely basis.

This is not going to be the only active news from the company, though, as OnePlus is all prepared to announce a new smartphone, probably the OnePlus 3T on November 15th. The upcoming smartphone is going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, which was confirmed by the chipset maker on Twitter.
