OnePlus has started rolling their latest OxygenOS update to the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X smartphones called OxygenOS 2.1.2 which is targetted at fixing the bugs and including some new features.
The update will be rolled out in batches as OTA – Over the Air updates and users will be getting incremental updates over time. There are Bug fixes for System Update which improves OTA stability, along with general bug fixes for performance improvements in OnePlus 2.
One addition is Improved UX for preview in Camera along with fixes for RAW format on 3rd party camera apps. There was an update 2.1.0 which received RAW support in 3rd party camera app for the OnePlus 2. With the new update, the company said that FV-5 will be releasing an update to their app to support RAW on OnePlus 2.
There are performance improvements on app install and launch, individual icon customization support, language support for Russian and Turkish, Lockscreen wallpaper support, security patches have been provided.
For the OnePlus X the new update brings new features and general bug fixes:
- UX bug fixes in Camera App
- Improvement to color offset in HDR mode
- Bug fixes to System Update to improve OTA stability
- System optimization in low battery state
- General Bug fixes and performance improvements
There have been reports by OnePlus X users about issues with SD storage which has not been fixed in this update, OnePlus has promised another update to sort out this problem. The OnePlus X will also be receiving incremental updates and you will be seeing notification for System update on your device when you receive it.
