Motorola has started rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS update to the Moto G 3rd Gen smartphone in India, this is the second device by Motorola to receive the update after the Moto X Play got Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS update last week. The change log seems to be the same as seen in the Moto X Play leaving out the Unicode 8.0 emojis update which was seen in the Moto X Play.
Moto G 3rd Gen received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update earlier this year and this the second update by Motorola. The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update v24.61.55 for the Moto G 3rd Gen is 371.4MB in size and is available as an OTA update.
Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen changelog for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS:
- Double pressing Power button will launch the camera app
- Camera shutter tone switch has been added back, to help in turning off and on the sound of the camera shutter at any time
- Android Security patches till March 1st 2016 have been included in the update
- Many bug fixes and changes to improve stability have been included in the update
Check out your Moto G 3rd Gen device for the latest update by going to Settings > About phone > System update and select Yes, I’m In > select the required under Download options and the update will be completed on its own.
