LG unveiled their latest custom UI, LG UX 5.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS ahead of their Flagship LG G5 worldwide launch. The LG UX 5.0 is not just restricted to LG G5 but will also be available for “upcoming smartphone models as well” as mentioned by LG. The UX 5.0 comes with enhancements for the LG G5’s Camera App. The main feature in the UX 5.0 is Friends Manager which lets users have control over the LG Friends modules and accessories.
The LG Friends modules include 360 CAM, CAM Plus and Hi-Fi Plus which were introduced alongside the LG G5. The LG Friends application available on Google Play Store helps users pair modules available for G5 easily with the handset. Along with the Friends app and camera enhancements for LG G5 there are other enhancements like always-on mode, new home screen, LG health, World clock, LG Backup etc about which we will be talking in detail.
- LG Friends Manager: This App is targetted at the Lg Friends accessories, helping in pairing the accessories easily. The App gets a different display for each LG Friend accessory like photo previews for the 360 CAM etc.
- LG Health: There are two modes – Advanced and Beginner mode to match to the user’s profile.
- Camera features for LG G5: The LG G5 gets many enhancements in terms of camera features like Zoom In and Out between standard 78-degree and 135-degree wide angle lens. Auto Shot which is an enhanced version of gesture shot, Multi-view helps in capturing different angles of images at the same moment with the front and rear cameras of the G5 and the LG 360 CAM. Pop-out picture, 360 wallpaper, Film effect.
