Lenovo has started rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the K3 Note smartphone in India. The Marshmallow update is available via OTA and users can manually check for the update on their devices. The software build K50a40_S322_160314_ROW is 1.6GB in size, there is no official changelog available mentioning the new features added with the Marshmallow OS.
How to check for Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in Lenovo K3 Note: Go to Settings > scroll to the bottom of the list and select About Phone > System Update. One of the main features being updated with the Marshmallow OS is the addition of TheaterMax technology, this will allow users to experience the big screen and VR experience with the Ant VR headset.
Lenovo launched the K3 Note in India last year and was a great success with over 500,000 units sold. The device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels having a pixel density of 401 ppi. It is coupled with a 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The device comes with 13-Megapixel rear camera with dual-LEd flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera.
