Huawei’s Honor 6X was launched for International markets back in January and later it got launched in India as well. The Honor 6X is a decent offering which has a lot going on for it for the price tag the company is quoting. The biggest USP of the Honor 6X has to be it’s dual rear cameras which aims to give you the best camera experience on a budget. Though the 6X looks like a complete package, it still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow leaving behind the Nougat update which was expected.
In this regards, Folks at Android Police reached out to Huawei just to confirm about the 6X’s Nougat update. The Chinese vendor has officially confirmed via mail that the new EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat will be rolled out to the Honor 6X starting from March 2017.
Incidentally, Huawei’s original timeline for the update was also in March, It’s good to see companies sticking up to the promises it made. However, the company has also mentioned that it took feedback from users and made the necessary changes to the EMUI, so we are not sure if the EMUI 5.0 will look exactly like we have seen on the MATE 9.
Nonetheless, the Nougat update for the Huawei 6X will roll out from March and we sure are looking forward for the new EMUI and many features that will tag along.
Excellent! Best budget phone with Nougat!
