Huawei’s Honor brand has started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat Update to company’s Honor 8 smartphone in the USA. In addition to the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, the EMUI 5.0 brings in a wide range of features and functions and many changes to the home screen interface.
The new EMUI 5.0 brings in twin feature option that will allow users to log into two different accounts of the same application at the same time. However, for now, this feature will only work on Facebook and WhatsApp. The new EMUI 5.0 brings home drawer as requested by many US fans, although you can either enable or disable the home drawer in case you don’t want it. Multiple window support is finally here, manually edit quick controls according to your liking. Apart from these, there are changes in Notification Shade, Recent Apps and more.
The Honor 8 EMUI 5.0 Android 7.0 Nougat update is currently available for the U.S. variant. However, the company will soon roll out the update to the Indian variant as well. Though no date regarding the Nougat update in India is mentioned just yet. The Honor 6X is another device that is doing well in the market and it runs the Android Marshmallow OS, and the update was said to be coming in March but later, there was a news spread out saying that Honor is not sure of the date yet.
