Apple has announced the iOS 9.3 update for the iPhone and iPad starting today. Along with all the other features in this update the most anticipated feature, the Night Shift is available which shifts the color temperature of the display based on the time and location of your device. Along with the Night Shift feature in the iOS 9.3 update, some other features like revamped version of Apple News, a new version of notes etc have been added.
If you are wondering How to update your iPhone or iPad to the latest iOS 9.3 OS, just go to Settings > Scroll through the list and tap on General > Tap on Software and select Update to get started. Under Notes improvements, you can now protect notes with Touch ID or a passcode and Sort notes alphabetically, by date created or by date edited.
Apple News also got a revamp with a new Top stories section, Play Video directly without opening the article, swipe left for sharing or saving the and swipe right to get more options. The Health App now makes it easier to find third-party apps to track certain data types like weight, workouts, and sleep. Health dashboard adds support for move, exercise, and stand Activity data and goals from Apple Watch.
Apple Music has got a major feature upgrade, now you can add songs from the Apple Music catalog to playlists without having to add them to your library along with other improvements. The Photos App has also got some upgrades, you can extract still image from a Live photo by tapping duplicate, it will give you the option to duplicate the Live photo or just the still image. Share Live Photos between iOS and OS X through AirDrop and Messages.
The CarPlay app gets new features like “Nearby” using Apple Maps to show everything around you along with music recommendation features in Apple Music.
