The Honor 7 smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch display, Kirin 935 processor and 3GB of RAM, and there is EMUI 3.1 running over Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS in the device. Capturing screen on a smartphone is very common, whenever you want to share the high score you got in a game, or wanted to share some error message with someone.
While it is a physical button combination that works mostly on every Android device to capture a screenshot, Huawei has included more than one way to take a screenshot on the Honor 7 smartphone. Following guide will explain you how to do it.
Physical keys: This is the standard way. Wherever you are in the interface, just press the power and Volume-down button together, and the screenshot will be taken. As soon as the screenshot is taken and shutter sound is heard, you’ll notice that it appears on the screen and you can directly share it from there.
Using Smart key: Smart key on Honor 7 is a new shortcut key which can be set up an used to quickly take screenshot, activate the flashlight, and a lot more. Go to Settings > Smart Key and here, you can configure a screenshot shortcut for single press, double press or a long press.
There is also a way of taking screenshot where you draw on the screen to capture the particular part of the screen, rather than taking the screenshot of the entire screen.
Easy enough to do that on a phone that gives several ways to do it, right? I’d suggest to have one Smart key function ready for screenshot, as that is one of the commonly done practices in daily usage.
