Though there are no options that work with the sensors provided in the device, the gestures on turned-off screen are quite helpful.

Wake-up gesture on Coolpad Note 3
When the screen is turned off, the user can draw a few specified shapes on the screen, to trigger certain functions that are set. Here is what all is possible with the wake up gestures.
- Douple-tap to wake: When the turned off screen is tapped twice, it wakes up the screen
- Slide up to unlock: When the screen is turned off, sliding from the bottom to top of it will wake up and unlock the screen (if there is no screen lock)
- Slide down to take photos: Sliding down from top to bottom on turned-off screen launches the camera app
- Horizontally slide: When music is playing and the screen is turned off, horizontally sliding on the screen switches between the songs

- Draw C: Drawing the letter C on screen opens the keypad
- Draw E: Drawing the letter E opens the browser
- Draw M: Drawing the letter M plays music
- Draw O: Drawing the letter O opens Facebook app
- Draw W: Drawing the letter W opens WhatsApp app
Action and screen gestures
- Multi-screen: This is a mode, which when activated will divide the screen to run two independent apps at the same time.
- Three screenshots: Flicking up or down with three fingers at any screen takes a screenshot.
- Cover mode: Covering the screen will open a small window
- Glove mode: The sensitivity of the screen increases when the glove mode is turned on, and it will be able to recognize touch even when gloves are worn
How to turn on the gestures and controls on Coolpad Note 3?
To turn on/off the gesture features and smart controls in the Note 3, you need to go to Settings > Device > Smart control, and there are two sections as given above. Each of the setting that is listed above, can be activated or turned off individually.
