Xiaomi launched their new budget range smartphone on 20th March named Redmi 4A. As the name says, it’s not an update to the Redmi 3S but to the Redmi 2 of theirs. It comes with a 5-inch 720p display along with 16GB internal storage and 2GB of RAM.
The Redmi 4A is running on the Android 6.0.1 with their custom OS MIUI 8.1. As we all wonder, the MIUI 8 has a lot of features embedded in it. One of its features is changing the color of the Notification LED. Today, I’m going to guide you through changing the LED light color.

Here’s how to change the notification LED color
The notification LED will be enabled by default in the device. It just lights up when charging. To also enable it for calls and messages notifications, go into the Settings > Aditional Settings > Notification light > and enable the Pulse Notification light in there.
Pulse Notification light is which enables the flickering of the LED light. After enabling it, you’ll be unlocked with three options below it. You can change the colors of the LED light for Calls, messages, and app notifications. You have Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, White, and Violet to choose from. Sadly, you can’t change colors for different apps you have.
Again, whenever you want to manage the LED lights, you just have to go back into the Settings > Additional Settings > Notification light.
Depending on the app, app-specific colors can be set.
In whatsapp you can set different colors for standard chat and group chat. Those settings override MIUI system settings.
However, it seems as if only the color for the oldest notification pulsates. There’s no multi-color notification.
