The fingerprint scanner on Coolpad Note 3 has several functionalities, and it isn’t limited to just unlocking the screen. While you could open apps, quickly capture a photo or quickly dial a phone number with the fingerprint scanner, there is a separate apps that helps user take the security to the next level, by locking the apps.
There are times where you might tell the pattern or PIN to your friends for unlocking the screen, but still would want to restrict them from accessing certain apps. Here’s how you can restrict apps from being accessed in Coolpad Note 3, by locking using the fingerprint scanner.
First, you will have to setup fingerprint scanner by going to the Fingerprint Management app and enroll the fingerprint. Once you are done with that, you need to open another app, i.e. FP Lock, which is the one you would use to lock the apps.
Open the app and there you can just tap on the lock icon against the apps you wish to lock with fingerprint security. That’s it. Now, whenever the locked apps are to be opened, you will need to use your fingerprint to do that.
Here you can unlock the app and open it with any fingerprint that is saved in the fingerprint management app. Apart from the good features with the fingerprint scanner, the Coolpad Note 3 has a few gesture features and smart controls as well to take advantage and make the usage experience better.
