The LeEco Le 1s is a perfect smartphone for the price it is being sold for, and there is a lot to like about it, but one problem that usually people see, if not really a problem is with the battery life. The 3000 mAh battery in the Le 1s performs well, and it can give over 4 hours of screen-on time and a day’s usage with ease.
One good advantage of the Le 1s is its fast charging, where it takes just an hour to pump the battery from 0 to 80 percent, and if that isn’t enough, a five-minute charge is enough to give a talk time of three hours. But, you don’t have access to a charging point always, and especially when traveling, you expect the phone to deliver more life.

How to Increase battery life of Le 1s
Usually, there are some very basic steps that you have to follow on any phone to reduce the battery drain, but which are those? Let’s talk about each and let you know how to save battery on the LeEco Le 1s smartphone.
The usual – Connectivity usage depending on need
We usually tend to ignore this fact, but it stays the same – having connectivity options turned ON unnecessarily will slowly drain the battery.
If you aren’t really using one of the particular options, turn if off. For example, if Bluetooth is not being used, you shouldn’t be keeping it turned ON because if there are some paired devices in its list, the phone keeps checking to see if one of those paired devices are around when you don’t even intend to do that from your side.
Setting Location tracking not to use battery a lot
The Location settings in the Le 1s is different from how it normally is on other smartphones. Here, you get to see GPS, Wi-Fi and cellular positioning, Individual app permission for location access, as well as a toggle to turn on/off the Google Location History.
To save battery, when you aren’t using app that needs the direct GPS signals, turn that particular option off and let the app use Wi-Fi or cellular positioning to locate the device. Having the GPS positioner always on will eat up more battery.
Clear background apps
The EUI on the Le 1s quite heavy thanks to the beautiful looks and graphic-loaded content. At times, heavy RAM usage uses the battery because the internal components run to keep up with the background apps and tasks. When you aren’t using some apps that are still active in the background, it is wise to close down the background apps from time to time.
Battery Assistant – Setup and use it wisely
Most of the smartphones these days have the battery saving modes in them, and most of these are custom ones given by the UI maker. Similarly, there is a Battery Assistant section in the Battery settings of the LeEco Le 1s.
- Smart power saving: Dynamically control features such as vibration and network sync based on the scenario
- Super power saving: Limit features such as dynamic visual effects and network access
- Ultra-long standby time: Only basic apps such as calling and messaging are kept on, while network is disabled
You can also set the power saving modes to activate automatically when the battery percentage goes down to a certain number, i.e. 10%, or 20%.
Hope these steps are helpful to improve battery life of Le 1s. And, if you are actually seeing the battery drain badly even after doing all this, it could be because you are on the same EUI version where people are reporting of some battery issues, and LeEco is sending an OTA update soon to the Le 1s devices, fixing not just this, but other issues like the camera and performance issues.
