Capturing a screenshot on a smartphone is a very common task done by users to capture some important things, a high score in games, and a lot of other reasons. But, is it always the same way to take a screenshot of the UI?
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 runs Android Lollipop based MIUI v7. The UI, as we know, comes packed with loads of features that not just enhances the user experience but also helps do a lot of things that might have otherwise needed third party apps. For a screenshot capture as well, you get to see not just the default physical key option but another shortcut for it to be done easily.
Capturing Screenshot in Redmi Note 3 – Two methods
Method 1 – Using Physical Keys
Using the physical buttons is one of the basic and always used ways to take a screenshot, where you are required to press the Power + Volume down buttons together and the screenshot is captured.
There are times where this function might not work, and one of those is when a physical button has gone bad. You have apps that replace the functionality of power button and volume rocker but they cannot be used to take screenshots. Follow the second method if you are in such a situation.
Method 2 – Using Notification Shade shortcut
This is actually an easier way, but for those who always have a habit of capturing a screenshot using the physical keys, they’d stick to the first one. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3’s MIUI has a shortcut available in the quick settings when the notification shade is pulled down.
On whatever page you are, just pull down the notification shade and you will see an option “Screenshot”, tapping on which you will see the shade pulling itself up and the screenshot of the page being taken.
With any method you use, the screenshot will land in a separate folder in the gallery, making it easy to find them. Of course, we know there are a lot of third-party apps available for the same screenshot capturing, but we always give importance to the features that are already a part of the UI.
