ZTE USA has just launched ZTE Tempo Go, which is a Smartphone running the Android Oreo Go Edition software and the first Android Go device to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platform (Snapdragon 210 Mobile Platform).
With a price tag of $79.99, the device is aimed at the entry-level Smartphone buyers. The device comes with a 5.0-inch FWVGA display with 480 x 854-pixel resolution. The heart of the device will be a quad-core Snapdragon 210 chipset clocked at 1.1GHz along with 1GB RAM.
Other specs of the ZTE Tempo Go include 8GB ROM, 5MP primary and 2MP secondary camera, 2200mAh battery and MicroSD card support up to 32GB. The ZTE Tempo Go is available for purchase officially from the ZTE USA website. As the ZTE Tempo Go is powered by the lightweight Android Oreo Go Edition, out of the 8GB internal storage, more space will be available for users in comparison to devices running regular Android Oreo software.
Other features of the Android Oreo Go Edition include better mobile data saving and optimized performance that enables the device to run smoothly despite the less powerful hardware. The Android Oreo Go Edition will have a customized Google Play Store version, which will highlight applications that are specially developed or optimized for Android Oreo Go Edition and the Tempo Go device.
Google Android booth showcased some of these phones with Android Go platform at the MWC 2018 and for the India-specific users, the Micromax Bharat Go and the Lava Z50 were also shown at the event.
