Yu Televentures owned by Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma, has launched their latest flagship device, the Yutopia in an event in New Delhi. The device was to be launched on December 7th but had been postponed due to unknown reason, and December 17th marks one year of first YU smartphone launch.
It is designed with a full metal body with Aircraft Grade Aluminium making it 90% stronger than polycarbonate material. The Antenna bands have also been integrated into the metal chasis. The Yutopia sports a 5.2-inch 2K SHARP OGS TP capacitive with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, it has an impressive pixel density of 565pixels and supports 16M colors.

The YU Yutopia is powered by a 2GHz A57 quad core + 1.5GHz A53 quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. The device comes with a 21MP rear camera with true tone dual LED flash and is capable of recording 4K videos along with Slo-mo HD videos at 120 fps, it sports a 77.3 degree wide angle lens. The front camera is a 8MP shooter with 1/3.2 inch / 1.4um pixel lens and has f/2.2 aperture. It comes with 4G LTE connectivity and has dual SIM (micro+nano) options.
The YU Yutopis sports a Fingerprint sensor, positioned on the back of the device under the camera module for easy access. It is programmable to wake-up the device and is round, it will last for more than 10 million scans, you can also add tap to take a picture feature to it.
The device runs on Android v5.1.1 Lollipop with Cyanogen 12.1 OS, it is powered by a 3000 mAh battery and gives 8 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time, the device supports Quick Charge 2.0 as well and will take your phone from 0.60% in just 30 minutes. It comes with the following sensors L-sensor, P-sensor, 6-axis Gyroscope, Electronic compass and Barometer.
The Yu Yutopia is priced at Rs. 24999, and it will be exclusively available on Amazon India. Pre-booking starts from 2 p.m. on 17th Dec, and delivery begins from 26th December. The Yu #Yutopia buyers will get 6-month Gaana Plus subscription for free. Yu also launched their new service called AroundYu, in which there are a few offers included for the Yutopia buyers (includes Rs. 100 off on first ride and fourth ride for free with Ola Cabs).
The Yutopia buyers will get an assured upgrade to Yutopia 2 with a 40% cashback. There are 3,6,9 and 12 month EMI options. SBI users will get a Rs. 1000 cashback, if you are purchasing the phone before 2nd Jan. 2016. Airtel India is also offering a double-the-data package with the Yu Yutopia.
