The device takes advantage takes advantage of something called Pixel binning that gives a sharper and brighter photo. It is also the first Xiaomi smartphone to have a front-facing LED flash light. There are 36 smart beauty profiles, and a real-time beautify for video calls. The other features include selfie countdown and face recognition.
On the back is a 13-megapixel rear camera with the phase detection autofocus and F/2.2 aperture with some of the typical features that the MIUI camera app includes. There is a fingerprint sensor located on the back of the phone. Also, as is the case with most of the other Xiaomi phones, there is an IR blaster for the smart remote functionality.
