Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note Prime in India after a number of leaks on their MI India twitter handle. The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime will be available from Tuesday, exclusively on Amazon India and Mi.com starting at 10am. The Redmi Note Prime is going to be the second smartphone by the company with the ‘Made in India’ tag after the Redmi 2 Prime.
The Redmi Note Prime sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with resolution og 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC couple with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage space and is further expandable using microSD card up to 32GB.

The Redmi Note Prime comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front facing camera. It runs on android 4.4 Kitkat based MIUI 7 which is a bit of let down with most phones on this day coming with Android Lollipop 5.0. It is powered by a 3100mAh battery. The connectivity options for the Redmi Note Prime are 4G, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, Micro-USB 2.0, USB-OTG and GPS/A-GPS.
The Redmi Note Prime will be available from December 15th exclusively on Amazon India and Mi.com from 10am onward. It is going to be manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn as a part of Make in India. At this price point the device is competing with Lenovo K3 Note.
