Xiaomi India has launched the successor to the popular Redmi Note 5 smartphone in India, the Redmi Note 6 Pro. The phone is going on sale from tomorrow, i.e. 23rd November on Flipkart and there is on change on the specs that were on the model already available in Indonesia where the company launched the phone earlier this month.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with the 19:9 aspect ratio and there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor powering the phone, with variants offering different amount of RAM and storage capacities, and a Hybrid slot offering support for either a SIM card or a MicroSD card. The camera combination on the phone includes a dual-lens camera on the back with a 12MP F/1.9 camera supported by a 5MP secondary camera for the depth sensing. The pixel size of the primary camera is bigger than earlier with the 1.4um size. There is AI scene detection that would automatically detect the scenes from across 32 categories. Also, dual-pixel autofocus and EIS support is given. This time, the front of the phone also has two cameras, with a combination of 20MP + 2MP cameras.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with the Android 8.1 Oreo based MIUI 10 and for the security, while there is a fingerprint sensor given on the back of the device, there is Face Unlock as well. There is support for Dual VoLTE, and the other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a MicroUSB port for charging. The phone has a 4000 mAh battery, which is the same capacity that the predecessor Redmi Note 5 Pro had.
The phone would go on sale from 23rd November at 12:00 noon. The 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 13999 and the price for 6GB + 64GB variant is Rs. 15999.
