Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 is not far from the official launch in China but we are already learning about the device, thanks to the leaks. This time, almost all the major specifications of the upcoming smartphone are known because of the alleged box package spotted in China, letting us know what the device will be powered by.
While we aren’t seeing any major upgrades from the Redmi Note 3, the internal specs are where it differs. According to the leaks, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio X20 chipset.
Though there might be other variants available as well, the box package shows a 3GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage. It won’t be a surprise if we see a 4GB RAM variant as well, but it is unlikely. But we might see a variant with 32GB internal storage. The Redmi Note 4 will run Android Marshmallow OS based MIUI 8 ROM.
The device is likely to be launched on July 27th when it won’t be only about the smartphone, but we might also see a laptop coming if all the rumors are true. There is a 4100 mAh battery packed into the device, which is again almost the same like the Redmi Note 3.
The pricing is not yet known and just like is the case with the other Xiaomi devices, it might take some time for the smartphone to get launched in the other markets after the release in China, the home market for Xiaomi.
Even when launched, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will compete the LeEco Le 2, the Moto G4 Plus, and the OnePlus X among others. The device will be placed in the low mid-range category, and the pricing will be only a little higher than that of the Redmi Note 3.
