By now it’s a known fact that Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 4 smartphone in India on January 19th, 2017. The original Redmi Note 4 that was launched in China was powered by a MediaTek chipset which Xiaomi is not allowed to launch in India. When we first heard that the company is all set to launch the Redmi Note 4 in India, we were not sure about the chipset that Xiaomi will use for the Indian markets. Though we know it for sure that it will be a Qualcomm based chipset.
As we are inching towards to the launch, the benchmark test spotted on Geekbench bench web site suggests that the Redmi Note 4 that will launch in India will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC that is clocked at 2GHz Octa-Core processor. Early yesterday, Xiaomi India has officially announced that it is indeed the Redmi Note 4 that is going to launch in India on January 19th and also said that it would be a Flipkart exclusive handset, thus putting an end to all speculations going on for the past one week.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5-inches Full HD (1920 X 1080) curved glass display offering a premium look to the device and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. It comes in two different variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and other with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Redmi Note 4 packs full metal unibody design and has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side and an infrared sensor on board. In the camera department, it has a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
We shall know the pricing and availability of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in India once it gets launched on January 19th, which is tomorrow. Stay tuned.
