The Xiaomi Mi Mix was one of the most interesting launches from the company in 2016 and thanks to the almost bezel-less display; the smartphone looked stunning. Along with the beautiful design, there was strong internals as well included in the Mi Mix, and now, we are getting some fresh results of benchmark tests disclose a new phone, which could be a variant of the Mi Mix.
Named as the Xiaomi Mix Evo in the Geekbench results, the phone is shown to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB of RAM. Along with that, the OS mentioned is the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the MIUI on top (MIUI 8 probably as the latest one). Also, while this is the 4GB RAM variant shown here, there should be one with 6GB RAM and higher storage, just like was the case with Mi Mix.
The size of the device could be the same. It should be the same 6.4-inch display and a 4400 mAh battery packed in, and while a 16MP camera will be placed on the back, a 5MP one on the front will help for the selfies. But, the Geekbench results don’t have any of this information so we cannot back it up already.
This year will have quite a few good smartphones with the edge-to-edge display with minimal bezels, and Xiaomi won’t keep itself away from that field where it has already showcased one that could be taken as an inspiration by the other brands.
