With the November 24th event by Xiaomi being talked about, the company has released yet another look at the devices which are going to be launched at the event. With most of the earlier leaks showing the metal clad Mi Pad 2, the latest tweet from the official handle showed another metal device equipped with a camera, and Fingerprint sensor.
On Twitter from the official handle, the company tweeted “We’ve got new full metal toys coming your way on 24 Nov. Any guesses what they might be?”. Attached with the tweet were two images of the devices, one is obviously the Mi Pad 2 thanks to the recent spotting on GeekBench we can be sure of it. Another device is allegedly the Mi Note 2 Pro.
The Mi Pad 2 is having a lot of resemblance to the iPad from Apple, we all know that Xiaomi is a big fan of the Apple design. From the GeekBench testing we can see that the Mi Pad 2 is powered by a 2.24GHz Intel X5-Z8500 SoC and all the other specs are still not revealed. It is a shift from the NVIDIA Tegra K1 chip which was used in the first gen Mi Pad.
The Mi Note 2 Pro on the other hand comes with a cool looking all-metal body design in Gold, with the top of the phone sporting the headphone 3.5mm jack and the side of the device having what appears to be a SIM card slot. The back shows off the first Fingerprint sensor in any Xiaomi device under the dual tone LED flash and the camera module on top.
With the latest tweet it is clear that the two devices are going to be released on November 24th and we can only wait to see if there are any new surprises in store, with rumor mills suggesting a smartwatch from Xiaomi which only time will tell.
