The Xiaomi Mi A1 was a huge hit in India, thanks to the great hardware which is complimented by Vanilla Android. The phone will soon be replaced by its successor Mi A2, in the coming weeks. The news comes all the way from china, as invites for the Mi 6X are being sent out.
The phone is said feature a 5.99 inch display which will sport the new 18:9 aspect ratio. It might be powered by the Octa-core Snapdragon 626 clocking at 2.2 GHz. While the phone will still have the same amount of 4 GB RAM & 64 GB of storage, as the outgoing model. It’s still unknown whether the new smartphone will have microSD card support or not, but given Xiaomi’s track record, we can expect a hybrid solution mostly. For the OS, it may come with Android 8.0 Oreo, with MIUI 9 on top for the Chinese variant, while the Indian variant should come with stock android.
Differing from the last year’s model, the Mi A2 is expected to have a 20 MP primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an 8 MP secondary sensor, with f/1.8 lens on top. The selfie shooter is also expected to see an upgrade, with a 20 MP F/2.0 shooter.
The Mi A2 is said to have slightly lower capacity than the outgoing model, with a 2910 mAh battery powering the smartphone. The fingerprint scanner is expected to be present on the back, while the cameras will be vertically placed, just like the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The last year’s Mi A1 was just a renamed Mi 5X with stock android on top, targeted at Indian consumers. So, it is very likely to see Mi 5X’s successor, Mi 6X, to be launched as Mi A2, in India. According to the invites that Xiaomi has sent out, the phone is expected to be launched at an event in China on April 25, 2018.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the invites that were sent out last week, were indeed for the launch of Mi 6X. The invite shows a man posing with a blue colored phone in his hand. Earlier a TENAA listing revealed the Red variant of the Mi 6X. Apart from that, the phone is said to come in Rose Gold, White, Pink, Gray and Silver colors.
Additionally, Xiaomi might be unveiling the third iteration of Mi band, the Mi band 3, at the Mi 6X lanch event. Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, was seen sporting it at the Xiaomi Black Shark launch event. The band is rumored to shed down the physical button for full touch display under the 2.5 curved glass. The functions such as heart rate counter, steps counter and time, can be accessed through swipe gestures. The Mi Router 4 is expected to make its appearance at the event, as well.
Looks like Xiaomi want to be a market leader in India and world in quick time, thanks
