Xiaomi had ran a poll recently to decide on the name of their next phone which included four options of Xiaomi Pro, Xiaomi Plus, Xiaomi Big and Xiaomi Max. Out of the four names Xiaomi Max was selected based on the number of votes (51.62% votes). With the options available we can see that the device will be sporting a huge display in the range of a phablet.
Some details about the device have surface thanks to a image showing the Devices front panel which show that it is pretty huge. From the image we can see that the device has very thin bezels and three capacitive buttons on the bottom with the top having earpiece and sensors on the side.
There is no Home button and we can expect the Fingerprint sensor if present on the back of the device. The Xiaomi Max is expected to sport a colossal 6.4-inch display making it the biggest device by Xiaomi. With this display size it surely cannot be called a smartphone and comes under the Phablet category.
Considering the specifications it is expected to come with Snapdragon 820 SoC and no other specifications of the device have been revealed. Other details like the availability and price are far off at this time. It will be interesting to see how Xiaomi will be marketing the phablet and if it will be restricted to China alone or will be launched in other regions like India.
