Vivo, the Chinese smartphone maker, has announced its newest smartphone in the Z-series, the Vivo Z3, today, in China. The Z3 comes with a DewDrop notch on the front and is offered in two Snapdragon SOCs.
Vivo Z3
The Vivo Z3 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. Thanks to the narrow bezels, the phone has a 90% screen-to-body ratio. Users can choose either the Snapdragon 670 SOC variant or a Snapdragon 710 variant with Adreno 615 and 616 GPUs respectively. The story continues with the RAM and storage as well, with either 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage or 6 GB RAM with 64 GB/ 128 GB of internal storage to choose from. The phone also offers storage expansion up to 256 GB via a microSD card. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 4.5 based on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
As for the cameras, the Z3 has a dual camera setup on the back. It features a 12 MP primary rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 2 MP depth-sensing camera for portrait shots. On the front, the dewdrop notch houses a 12 MP selfie camera that has a f/2.0 aperture. An LED flash assists the rear cameras in dimly lit situations.
The Vivo Z3 comes with a 3315 mAh battery. For connectivity, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 MIMO support, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS. The phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well as IR Face Unlock for securely unlocking the phone. The phone weighs 163.7 gms and is 8.1 mm thick.
Pricing and Availability of Vivo Z3
The Vivo Z3 comes in Aurora Blue, Midnight Black, and Pink Colors. The pricing of the phone is as follows:
