Extending its Y series, Vivo Mobiles has officially launched the Vivo Y69 smartphone in the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 14990, the smartphone will be available from September 1st across the country. It will be available in Champagne Gold and Matte Black color options.
The Vivo Y69 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixels resolution) and it is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, and the storage can be further expanded by another 256GB with the MicroSD card. On the imaging front, the Vivo Y69 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with the support for Live Photos, but what is focused here is the front-facing camera as the Vivo Y69 has a 16-megapixel selfie camera assisted by the flashlight that the company calls as the moonlight selfie flash.
The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat based FunTouch OS 3.2, and there is a 3000 mAh battery powering the phone. Just to note, the SD card support here is through a dedicated MicroSD card slot and not a hybrid SIM slot. The Y69 also has a fingerprint scanner included on the front for the security.
Commenting on the launch of the device, Mr. Kenny Zeng, CMO, Vivo India said “We are pleased to introduce the Y69 in the Y series product portfolio and are confident that its premium design and superior camera features will offer great value to customers at an ideal price point. With the festive season around the corner, we are committed to fulfilling our brand promise and adding a surprise element for our valued customers with innovative devices. The forthcoming quarter shows real promise, and we are confident that our latest offering will gather positive responses from the customers.”
