Vivo has launched a new smartphone in sub 10k price segment, Vivo Y53i, on April 22, 2018. The new smartphone is just a renamed Y53i that was launched an year ago, with no hardware or software changes.
The Vivo Y53i comes with a 5 inch IPS LCD qHD (quarter HD, not to be confused with Quad HD) screen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels. The phone has a 16:9 display The phone sports the same Snapdragon 425 chipset as the last year’s model, and comes with the same 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256 GB via a microSD card. It runs on the same Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top.
The cameras on the Y53i remain unchanged as well, with an 8 MP F/2.0 unit on the back along with an LED flash. The front-facing camera is a 5 MP F/2.2 shooter that is taken from its predecessor.
The battery capacity remains the same 2500 mAh battery as the last year’s model and supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2,Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS. It comes with Accelerometer, Proximity and compass sensors. It has face unlock for security, but doesn’t have fingerprint scanner. The’s phone’s rear is made out of metal.
The Vivo Y53i comes in Gold Color and is priced at INR 7990 and is available offline.
