Vivo would be quite proud to while announcing this smartphone, the Vivo X20 Plus UD as it comes with a feature that is introduced for the first time in the world – the Under display fingerprint sensor. Apple and Samsung have also been working on similar tech but Vivo is the first to bring it in the real sense, with he Vivo X20 Plus UD getting official in China.
Initially set to launch on 25th of January, the phone is official today. The highlight has been mentioned already, with the Synaptics Under Display fingerprint sensor that facilitates the unlocking of the phone without the need of the regular sensor and this will be a trend picked up by phones in the coming days, especially the ones having the edge-to-edge displays. To talk about the device in particular, the X20 Plus UD has a 6.43-inch full-HD+ display with the 1080 x 2160 pixels screen resolution, and it is powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 mobile platform. Along with that is 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, while the phone runs Android 7.1.2 based FunTouch OS.
The cameras are bumped up here, with the phone having a 24MP + 5MP combination on the back, while there is also a 24MP camera given on the front of the device. The Vivo X20 Plus UD also has Optical Image Stabilization for the 24MP camera on the back. This is a Dual SIM phone with VoLTE support but there is also a support for the MicroSD card for storage expansion by another 256GB.
There’s a 3800 mAh battery that powers the phone and there is a support for fast charging as well. The pricing and availability details are not yet known and we are not sure whether this is going to enter the Indian market. Stay tuned for more details.
