Months after launching the V9, Vivo has launched the upgraded variant of the Vivo V9 SD660, today, in Indonesia. The new smartphone comes with upgraded CPU and RAM, but a downgraded selfie camera, while still retaining the other features from the lower variant.
The Vivo V9 SD660 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The display has the usual 19:9 aspect ratio that we have seen in the notched phones lately. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU, which is the same processor that powers the pricier X21 as well. It comes with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage with an option to expand the storage up to 256 GB using the dedicated microSD card slot. The selfie shooter sees a downgrade as well with a 13 MP camera, over the whopping 24 MP unit found on the 626 variant of V9.
The battery remains the same on the 6 GB variant with a 3260 mAh unit, providing juice for the phone. The phone has support 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and dual-band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi. The phone weighs 150 gms and is 7.89 mm thick. It comes with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner.
