After launching the Vivo V5 and then the Vivo V5 Plus phones in India, the company is all set to launch the Vivo V5s smartphone in the Indian market on April 27th. The company is probably retaining the dual-lens front facing camera setup and will have specifications that place the phone between the V5 and V5 Plus smartphones.
There was no such phone in the past generations of the phones from Vivo but OPPO earlier had something similar, with the OPPO F1s having specs that were a bit better than the OPPO F1 but not as good as the OPPO F1 Plus. The Vivo V5s should be retaining the 20-megapixel + 8-megapixel camera combination for selfies.
For the specs, we are told by our sources that the Vivo V5s could have a 5.5-inch display and will also have a similar amount of RAM and storage, about 4GB and 32GB respectively. OPPO, on the other hand, is coming up with the OPPO F3 with the dual-lens selfie camera setup. It is interestingly the selfie camera craze currently that is being seen in the market, at least at the offline stores where there is a certain push that is giving the brands like Vivo and OPPO an edge over the others.
We will wait for the other details with the event scheduled for April 27th. The price, availability and the color options will be known then. Vivo has also recently launched the Special Edition of the Vivo V5 Plus to celebrate the 10 years of the IPL T20 that the company is the sponsoring.
