With the Chinese smartphones taking the smartphone industry by storm in releasing devices which are equally competitive with flagship smartphones in terms of hardware, but pricing it in range of budget smartphones. There is one more device which is going to join the race is the UMi Rome.
UMi Rome sports a display of 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and has a curved 2.5D glass display. The device is powered by an Octa-core Mediatek MT6753 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM, internal storage space of 16GB which can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card.
From the design aspect the device is similar to the Galaxy Note5, the device is smaller in comparison at 5.5-inch and the resolution is also lower at 720p. It is powered by a 13 Megapixel camera with Sony IMX164 sensor along with a 2 Megapixel front facing camera and flash both for the front and back cameras. The UMi Rome is given a very slim profile at just 7.9mm in thickness which is 0.3mm thicker than the Note 5.

The UMi Rome is powered by a 2500mAh battery which is a bit lower than expected for the specs which it has to support. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device supports 4G LTE bands around the world along with other basic connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The most exiting part of the UMi Rome is the pricing, all these exiting features are available at US$89.99 which is approximately Rs. 5,950 making it one of the most value for money smartphones in recent times. We cannot exactly compare it with any other smartphone with similar specifications at this price range. The UMi Rome will be released in China in December, there is no update about the launch plans in India.
