Sony India has launched its flagships, the Xperia Z5 Dual and the Xperia Z5 Premium Dual smartphones in India. The major difference between the Z5 and its Premium variant, is the screen resolution, as the Premium is one of the first 4K smartphone in the world.
The Xperia Z5 comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, with Sony’s Triluminos display for Mobile and X-Reality for mobile, while internally, the device comes powered with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM. While there is 32GB internal storage provided in the device, the Xperia Z5 Dual has a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 200 GB.
One of features which has seen a great improvement from its predecessor is the Camera, it sports a 23 MP 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS mobile sensor and Pulse LED flash, it comes with hybrid autofocus time of 0.03 seconds, it has a wide-angle G lens which is 24 mm and comes with 5x clear image zoom and up to 8x digital zoom. It has 4K video recording up to ISO 12800 for photos and 3200 for Video recording. The front camera is a 5MP shooter with Sony Exmor R mobile sensor capable of recording Full HD videos. It is waterproof and dust tight with IP65 and IP68 ratings. Another major improvement is the inclusion of fingerprint sensor which is integrated into the power button and supports FIDO standard authentication via fingerprint for online payment services.
The Xperia Z5 Premium on the other hand comes with a 4K resolution display which has an impressive 806 ppi on the 5.5-inch display at offer. It comes with a similar processor as the Z5 having a Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The same camera set up has been included in the Z5 Premium as well. The battery capacity is bigger with a 3430 mAh battery compared to the 2950mAh battery in the Xperia Z5 Dual.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Dual and Xperia Z5 Premium will be available online exclusively through Flipkart and in offline stores as well, Xperia Z5 Dual will available from October 23rd in Graphite Black, Gold and Green colors and is priced at Rs. 52,990 in India. Sony is giving free smart cover worth Rs. 3500 and in-App content over Rs. 4,000.
The Xperia z5 Premium will be available in three colors Black, Gold and Chrome and is priced at Rs. 62,990 will be available for pre-order from October 25th till 4th November exclusively on Flipkart and in retail stores. Sony is giving a free Bluetooth headset along with free smart cover worth Rs. 3500 and in-App content over Rs. 4,000.
