Sony, the Japanese Electronics makers has launched their latest midrange smartphone today, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus. The smartphone comes with an 18:9 ratio and a super wide front facing camera, for group selfies.
The Xperia XA2 Plus sports a 6-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen. Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protects the display which has an 18:9 modern aspect ratio. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 630 chipset with Adreno 508 GP. It comes with 4 GB RAM or 6 GB of RAM, with 32 or 64 GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 400 GB using a microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
As for the cameras, it comes with a 23 MP rear-facing camera, which uses a 1/2.3″ Exmor RS sensor that sits behind a f/2.0 lens. It comes with Hybrid AutoFocus and has an 84° Field of View. The rear camera can shoot 4K videos, supports an ISO Range up to 12,800 and also record slow-motion videos at 120 fps.
To the front, it features an 8 MP selfie camera that comes 1/4″ Exmor R sensor with f/2.4 and has super wide 120° Field of View.
The phone packs in a massive 3580 mAh unit which supports both Quick Charge 3.0 as well as Qnovo Adaptive charging. The phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.
The XA2 Plus comes with 4G VoLTE, dual-band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 LE, NFC, GPS, and GLONASS. The phone also features a Hi-Res Audio playback. It comes with support for LPCM, FLAC, ALAC, DSD, LDAC5, DSEE HX, with SmartAmplifier with ClearAudio+ technology.
Pricing and Availability of Sony Xperia XA2 Plus
The Sony Xperia XA2 PLus comes in Black, Gold, Green & Silver colors. The pricing of the device hasn’t been announced yet but will go on sale starting late August 2018.
