Smartron has launched their first smartphone, the t-Phone into the Indian market at a launch event in New Delhi alongside the tBook hybrid device. The t-Phone is being called the lightest 5.5-inch premium smartphone with tron.x and will be launched in the week of April 18th at a launch event in Hyderabad. The company has also launched their first 2-in-1 tablet device the t-book which has impressive specs to take on the likes of Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
The only two things that are known about the t-phone are that it is a 5.5-inch screen device and it is going to be the lightest phone till date with that screen size.

The back of the device does say that the phone is Designed and Engineered in India, but the assembling of it is done in China. It is understandable because for now, most of the companies except the recent ones that announced the Make in India campaign support have been getting their phones assembled in China.
Smartron also announced that it is partnering with Foxconn in India to have its devices assembled in India itself, which brings it closer to what it was planning – plan, design, engineer and make products in India. Sachin Tendulkar said he wants to see Americans use Indian-made products, which will be a moment of pride for Indians.
It is running on Android because the event floor did show how the seamless integration of content between Android and Windows 10 in the t-book happens. The actual date of launch of t-phone is not known, and it is on some day in the week of April 18th, so stay tuned for more updates on that.
