Following the launch of the Samsung M10 and the M20, the brand has launched an upgraded M30 variant in the series. The new M-Series is targetted towards the budget-smartphone segment and aims to give a tough competition to the other smartphone manufacturers like Oppo, Xiaomi, and others. The Samsung M30 will be competing against the Redmi Note 7 that is to be launching soon and will fall under the same price bracket.
The Samsung M30 comes with a 6.4-inch display based on a Super AMOLED panel, the display follows the Infinity-U design and has a resolution of 2340 x 1080. The display has a water drop notch on the top and is powered by their in-house chipset, the Exynos 7904 which was previously seen on the M20. The SoC has a 1.8GHz octa-core processor and a Mali G71MP2 GPU, the device comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants along with 64GB or 128GB storage options. The physical connectivity to the device and charging is through a Type-C connector and there is also a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired headsets.
The fingerprint sensor is on the rear of the device and the Samsung M30 also supports face-unlock, the battery on the device is of 5,000mAh capacity and supports 15W adaptive fast charging. Unlike the other devices in this price segment, the Samsung M30 comes with Wivedine L1 certification allowing the streaming of FullHD resolution content from services like YouTube.
The optics on the Samsung M30 include a triple camera setup on the rear and a single camera setup on the front. The rear camera setup on the Samsung M30 includes a 13MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, the secondary sensor on the Samsung M30 is a 5MP camera with a 123-degree field of view while the third sensor is a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The front camera on the Samsung M30 is powered by a single 16MP sensor.
The Samsung M30 is going to be available in Gradation Black and Gradation Blue colors, the pricing starts at Rs 14,990 for the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage while the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB storage costs 17,990. The device will go on sale on Samsung’s website and Amazon starting March 7th at 12PM IST
For ₹14,990 Samsung Galaxy M30 impressed with it’s spec’s like triple rear camera setup, 5000 mAh battery with fast charge, 6.4 inch large FHD+ Super AMOLED display, wivedine L1 support apart Exybos 7904 seems to be not up to the mark.
