The Samsung Galaxy S8 is leaked in full glory, much before the launch because if it was to be made official at the MWC 2017 event, it wouldn’t have been a surprise, but the launch date given by @evleaks is March 29th, and the phone does look a bit similar to the renders shown by case manufacturers earlier.
The phone does look big, and it is said that there will be variants with 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch screens. But that is not it. There won’t be a separate edge variant here because the standard flagship will have the edges curving down on both the sides.
As far as the chipset is concerned, it will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 in some regions and an Exynos one in some others. Since the screen sizes are different, there will be different battery capacities as well, which is said to be around 3000 mAh and 3500 mAh respectively, while the camera combination and the other internal inclusions will be the same on both the variants.
Samsung won’t be making it big in numbers for the RAM capacity as 4GB should be good enough but the storage will be a minimum of 64GB, with variants going up to 256GB storage. Another change, when compared to the Galaxy S7, is the inclusion of USB Type-C port so that you will see the support for the latest Quick Charge technology. Also, Samsung will not ditch the 3.5mm headset jack that other major companies like Apple have started doing.
As for the cameras, there will be a 12-megapixel shooter on the back with the F/1.7 aperture and on the front is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with the same aperture size. By the way, even the fingerprint scanner is seeing the big change. Samsung is changing the story in its series by moving the sensor towards the back, just beside the camera.
It is also reported that Samsung is going to introduce the Samsung DeX dock, which like Microsoft Continuum will help connect your Galaxy S8 to a larger screen and give the larger view of your Android device. On the rumor mill is also Bixby, a Samsung’s version of Google Assistant that will be able to take up even more complex questions and respond to them.
The release date – Samsung Galaxy S8 is said to be launching on March 29th, and it could be released the next day or a week after that. Given at this pace at which things are getting known, we might get an update about the pricing as well, very soon. If you are interested, check out the LG G6 leaked pic as well.

Interesting, only the finger print scanner position is odd! Isn’t this coming with Iris scanner?
