A new report from an unverified Samsung official claims that the upcoming Samsung Duo to pack 3000mAh battery in the 5.8-inch model and the S8 Plus will rock a bigger battery at 3500mAh in the larger 6.8-inch. This means that the Galaxy S8 duo will pack less capacity battery units compared to the last year’s Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
If rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy S8 Plus will pack the same battery capacity as the Galaxy Note7, but this time around we don’t think the same catching on fire issue would repeat as Samsung seems to have taken measures. Moving along, the Galaxy S8 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and will launch the Exynos Octa-Core powered variants in some regions. It packs 4GB RAM and various storage options starting from 64GB and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with TouchWiz U.In overlaid on top.
The regular Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inches SUPER AMOLED Quad HD dual curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, while the S8 Plus will rock a bigger display at 6.2-inches SUPER AMOLED Quad HD dual curved Corning Gorilla protected display. Here’s a list of all the leaks and rumors that we’ve gathered over the past few weeks about the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
Samsung this time is skipping the MWC event and will launch the Galaxy S8 duo sometime during March end until then leaks are all we have. Stay tuned for more details.
