Samsung had announced their latest Flagships Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge at the MWC 2016 event last week. And the company has started sending out invites for their launch in India on March 8th. Samsung is most likely going to launch the Octa-core Exynos 8890 SoC variants in India and not the Snapdragon 820 variants which are restricted to U.S and China.
The Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inch Quad HD display whereas the Galaxy S7 Edge sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display. Both the devices are packed with some amazing features and you can check of the Best features of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Both devices will be coming with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32/64GB internal memory, expandable up to 200GB with microSD. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Both devices sport a 12MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture, Smart OIS along with a 5MP front-facing camera, f/1.7 aperture. The devices come with Heart rate sensor, Fingerprint sensor and Barometer and we recently saw reports mentioning a moisture sensor located in the USB port. This was reported after few users saw a message “Moisture detected in charging port” when the charging port was wet when inserted. Both devices come with connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS with GLONASS, USB 2.0, NFC. One of the differences between the two is the presence of a 3600mAh battery in the Galaxy S7 Edge compared to the 3000mAh battery in the Galaxy S7. Both have fast charging option for wired and wireless charging.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be available in four colors, Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl and Silver Titanium and with the launch event at March 8th we will be knowing the exact pricing and date of availability of both the devices at the event next Tuesday.
