The launch is about three weeks away but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is already out known in every way, through pictures and list of specifications, and it is the prominent source @Evleaks who has put up the press renders as well as the specifications. The stylus-equipped Note8 is a water resistant device with the IP68 certification, just like the flagship Galaxy S8.
Looks wise, the large Galaxy Note8 is quite similar to the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus with the infinity display on the front and the glass back. It is said to be coming with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with the Quad HD+ resolution. With the screen size and that display type, it is not much different from the Plus variant of this year’s flagship from the company. Also, the aspect ratio is maintained the same, at 18.5:9 and the resolution comes to 1440 x 2960 pixels. The dimensions of the device are 162.5mm x 74.6mm x 8.5mm.
Even with the internal hardware, there is quite a lot of similarity as the Note 8 comes powered with either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor the Exynos 8895 processor based on the region. While the S8 came in with variants based on storage and RAM, the Galaxy Note8 is said to be coming with a single variant having 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Note8 will have the option for storage expansion in case the internal one is not enough.
For the cameras, Samsung has finally stepped up and have entered the dual-lens camera system space. Here, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is going to come with two rear cameras, both with 12-megapixel sensors and while the primary camera has a wide-angle lens, F/1.7 aperture, and dual-pixel autofocus, the secondary one has a telephoto lens with F/2.4 aperture and it helps enable a 2X zoom. The two cameras here have the Optical image stabilization support. On the front is an 8-megapixel camera with F/1.7 aperture and autofocus.
This might come as a disappointment but Samsung is offering a 3300 mAh battery on the Galaxy Note8 and it has USB Type-C with fast charging support, but the device can be charged wirelessly as well. It is the Midnight Black and Maple Gold options in which the device will be available first, and later will be followed by Orchid Grey and Deep Sea Blue options later. While Evan Blass also mentions that the price would be about €1,000 in the Europe. The Note8 is scheduled to be made available in September 2017.
